* Significance bacterial efflux pumps in multidrug resistance and pathogenesis in Gram-negative bacteria, particularly Acinetobacter spp.
* Role of intercellular and intracellular signaling in bacterial biofilm formation.
* Development of biomaterials with antimicrobial, anti-infective and anti-biofilm properties.
